Robert "Rob" Thomas is a technical diving educator and multi-unit rebreather instructor based in the UK. A lifelong diver, Rob has transitioned from a passionate "young diver" advocate to a leading industry professional, currently holding instructor ratings for both the JJ-CCR and O2ptima CM rebreathers. He specializes in bridging the gap between recreational and technical diving, offering training that ranges from Open Water to Helitrox Decompression and Intro to Cave. As the founder of Young Divers International (YDI) and a dedicated member of the Cave Diving Group, Rob combines high-level technical precision with a mission to make the underwater world—including its caves and wrecks—accessible to the next generation.
