About

Independent technical, cave, mine, wreck, and CCR diving instructor trainer, and IANTD's regional manager for Thailand. Left a career in software engineering to become a full-time diving instructor, with 16+ years of experience teaching TDI, SDI, SSI, and IANTD technical courses across Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and China. Holds 83 TDI/SDI ratings alone, spanning full cave and cave-instructor training (up to Full Cave Evaluator), mine diving, advanced trimix instructor training, and CCR instruction across multiple rebreather brands, including a Rebreather Full Cave Instructor Trainer rating. Beyond teaching, he's an active cave explorer -- part of the 'Filthy Few' team (alongside Koh Tao Divers' Mikko Paasi and fellow Thailand instructor Mika Lindström) on the ongoing Satun Cave Exploration Project, surveying a previously unmapped underwater cave system near the Malaysian border. He joined the project's second expedition into Toh Wang Cave in 2023, bringing his own compressor, booster, and CCR unit to help push the line further -- an expedition that confirmed Toh Wang as Thailand's longest known freshwater cave. In May 2026, he also played a key coordinating role in the international rescue response to a flooded mine in Xaisomboun province, Laos -- recruited early by fellow explorer Mikko Paasi for his mine-diving expertise, and named by ABC News as the coordinator organizing the rescue operation on the ground. He's also a regular speaker at regional dive industry events including TekAsia (OZTek & ADEX) and NSS-CDS, presenting on cave diving and mine diving training in Thailand.
