Phil joined Manta Dive on Gili Trawangan in 2014 armed with 50 dives, a rescue diver certification and a brand new Suunto D6. He quickly worked his way to instructor and soon after began his journey in tech and switched to a Shearwater Perdix. In 2015 he bought his first CCR and never looked back. Since then he has become full cave CCR certified, done expedition trimix dives to 145m on his SF2 eCCR, dived dual rebreather configurations and become an SF2 instructor trainer. Meanwhile in the open circuit side Phil is an extended range instructor and a TDI instructor trainer for ANDP, DPV and Sidemount. His main passion is exploration of the deep trimix CCR variety and shark videography around the Gili Islands in Indonesia.
