Owner of Koh Tao Divers since 2002 and founder of its technical diving branch. Began his professional diving career in 1998 at Finland's Ojamo Mine before relocating to Thailand. Instructor trainer for KISS Sidewinder and SF2 eCCR rebreathers, teaching TDI technical courses in both backmount and sidemount configurations up to hypoxic trimix depths of 100m. A member of the Surat Thani Rescue team, he was one of the divers involved in the 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue, and has been decorated for it with a Knight Grand Cross from the King of Thailand and a Life-Saving Medal from the President of Finland. In May 2026, he led the international dive response to a flooded mine rescue in Xaisomboun province, Laos, calling in fellow instructor Por Parasu Komaradat for his mine-diving expertise and assembling an international rescue dive team -- nicknamed 'the Filthy Few' -- that included Indonesia-based instructor Robin Cuesta. Also an accomplished underwater filmmaker (National Geographic's The Rescue, The Cave) and author, and leads Bottomline Projects, an international scientific exploration NGO -- including the ongoing Satun Cave Exploration Project with fellow Thailand instructors Por Parasu Komaradat and Mika Lindström, which confirmed Toh Wang Cave as Thailand's longest known freshwater cave in 2023.
